The Celebration of Teaching event is designed to shine a bright spotlight on the women and men who are devoting their professional lives to fostering the learning and development of PK-12 students in our region and who received their professional certifications at one of the EDGM institutions.

In our second year, the Celebration of Teachers and Teaching highlighted educators who are particularly outstanding in the area of service learning. Service learning is defined as, “…a form of experiential learning where students apply academic knowledge and critical thinking skills to address genuine community needs.”
